Toxics Layer

To support more detailed analysis of toxic parameters in the sediment bed, EEMS allows the display of model outputs in 2DH View for toxics with two options:

  1. Display of model outputs for toxics in the bed at a fixed sediment depth.
  2. Display of model outputs for depth-averaged toxics concentrations at a specific thickness of the sediment bed

In the 2DH View, click Add New Model Layer from Layer Control as shown in Figure 1. The 2DH View Option will be as shown in Figure 2. In this form select Toxics for Primary Group and Toxic Bed for the Parameter. In the Layer Settings frame, select Fixed Depth for the Options. Enter a value of depth for Depth and select the toxic class and toxic options in the Class Setting frame. Finally click the Add button to see the result as shown in Figure 3.
In some cases, where there are two or more toxic classes in the model, EE can display different toxics at different fixed depths as shown in Figure 4.

Similar to the option above, to display depth-averaged toxics concentrations at a specific thickness of the sediment bed, in the 2DH View, click Add New Model Layer from the Layer Control as shown in Figure 1. The 2DH View Option will be displayed as shown in Figure 5. In this form select Toxics for the Primary Group; Toxic Bed for the Parameter. In the Layer Settings frame, select Depth Average under Options. Enter the value for Depth, and select the toxic class and toxic options for the Class Setting frame. Finally, click the Add button to display the results as shown in Figure 6.
