In the General tab, in the Erosion Rate Options frame, the user should select the last option as shown in Figure 1. Using this option the erosion rate will be based on the equation E = A*Tau^N where "A" is the erosion Multiplier, "N" is the erosion exponent,  and applying the bed properties using SEDB, BEDLAY, BEDBDN and BEDDDN. "A" and "N" will be defined in Erosion Rates tab as shown in Figure 3.

The files SEDB.INP, BEDLAY.INP, BEDBDN.INP and BEDDDN.INP  are created by EE when the user assigns the bed initial conditions to the model. To assign the bed initial conditions to the model click Assign Bed IC button. The Initialization of Sediment Beds form will be displayed as shown in Figure 2.

In the Grid Cell Options frame there are two options: the user can select either All Grid Cells or Only Grid Cells Inside Polygons to limit the application of the change.

All Grid Cells: All grid cells of the mode domain will be assigned from a sediment core file

Only Grid Cells Inside Polygons: Only grid cells inside polygons will be assigned from a sediment core file, this option also can be used when the user wants to assign bed IC for different grid zones.

In the Initialization of Sediment Beds frame, there are three options for initialization of sediment bed as Use Polygon DSM, Use Sediment Core with Grainsize, and Create Uniform Bed. The user selects Use Sediment Core with Grainsize option, then browse to the sediment core files (*.dat) which is created before. How to create the sediment core file is describe in Sediment Bed Construction.
