Modeling a waterbody requires the estimation of the mass balance of all the constituents that enter and exit the modeling domain. Mass balance is an essential aspect of weight-of-evidence based model calibration. Once you develop a model EE can be used to quickly estimate the mass balance. The Boundary Mass Loading can be selected from the Tool menu as shown in Download Online Data#Figure 1.

Once the option is selected, the Mass Loading the form will appear as shown in Download Online Data#Figure 2. From this form, the user selects a constituent from the drop-down list and then clicks on the Compute button.

The unit for some constituents such as sediment, salinity, and toxics can be selected from the drop-down list of the Unit Options , as shown in Download Online Data#Figure 3. After clicking on the Compute button, a mass loading report will be shown as Download Online Data#Figure 4.
