Once click that button, the Radial Grid form will pop up as shown in Figure Create a radial grid#Create a radial grid#Figure 2.

Grid Cell in I Direction frame

  • Start Angle (deg.): This this is the angle in degrees where the grid cell begins.
  • Stop Angle (deg.): This  this is the angle in degrees where the grid cell ends.
  • Angle Increment (deg): the increasing angle in each step.

...

  • Min. Radius (m): the radius of the curve inside in meters
  • Max. Radius (m): The the radius of the curve outside in meters
  • UTM Zone: this is the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) zone number from 1 to 60. After entering the location of the focal point, the UTM zone can be updated automatically.
  • Location of Focal Pointthe longitude and latitude in degrees of the center point in the geographic coordinate system

Figure Create a radial grid#Create a radial grid#Figure 3 presented the generated radial grid. When the grid layer in the layer control is selected, holding the focal point is used to move the grid cell. The side point is used to expand or narrow the grid cell along the side. Figure Create a radial grid#Create a radial grid#Figure 4 shows the grid cell after expanding; cells are added and have the same size as the previous cells.
