Boundary Mass Loading

Modeling a waterbody requires the estimation of the mass balance of all the constituents that enter and exit the modeling domain. Mass balance is an essential aspect of weight-of-evidence based model calibration. Once you develop a model EE can be used to quickly estimate the mass balance. The Boundary Mass Loading can be selected from the Tool menu as shown in Figure 1.

Once the option is selected, the Mass Loading the form will appear as shown in Figure 2. From this form, the user selects a constituent from the drop-down list and then clicks on the Compute button.

The unit for some constituents such as sediment, salinity, and toxics can be selected from the drop-down list of the Unit Options , as shown in Figure 3. After clicking on the Compute button, a mass loading report will be shown as Figure 4.
