The function is used to open an existing project. Once the user clicks on this function Select Directory: Open Operation form is displayed. An example is shown in Figure 1. The directory displayed will be the last project directory opened. Recent 20 projects are available in the dropdown list located near the bottom of the form. The panel on the right shows the files contained in the selected directory. For Open operations, the EFDC.INP file must exist in the directory.

Drag & Drop Method

If EE is already loaded, the user can load an EFDC project by dragging and dropping the EFDC project folder, EFDC.EE file, or EFDC.inp file.

During EE installation, the file extension ".EE" can be associated with the the EFDC_+ Explorer application. If the ".EE" extension is associated with EE, then the user can start a new instance of EFDC_Explorer + Explorer by double-clicking on any file with the EE extension. EFDC_+ Explorer will start and load the EFDC project contained in the same folder as the EE file.
