EE10 and EFDC+ can EEMS allows the user to simply and quickly setup up configure hydraulic structures (HS) such as culverts, weirs, sluice gates, and orifices with . The user enters the physical dimensions of the structures and EFDC will use the corresponding HS equations (Dill, 2012). EE allows the user to view equations for the selected HS. The user can view a summary of the type of the hydraulic structure and adjust its parameters in Structure Parameters. EE EEMS also support 8 supports eight common cross-sections: circle, semi-circle, ellipse, semi-ellipse, rectangle, parabola, trapezoid and V-notch. 

The Bi-Directional check box is used to indicate whether or not to allow reverse flows. In terms of vertical layering, EFDC draws equally from all the layers not impacted by the structure.
