EEMS 10.4 11 allows you to export the current view of the velocity vector in the 2DH View to some a variety of formats such as the Tecplot file, Data file, and shapefile.

To do this, the user first needs to should go to the 2DH then View and add a velocity vector layer as shown in Figure 1. By default, when you display the velocity vector, the velocity vector will be displayed on each grid cell, by Right Mouse Click (RMC) on the layer and select Properties, then the Vector2D Layer Properties form will appear as shown in Figure 2.

From this form, The user cans select one of three options from the Vector Location frame.

  • Cell Centroids: When this option is selected, the user can enter a number in the Skip I, Skip J, and Skip K. EE sets 0 as the default value for these boxes. It This means that the velocity vector will be displayed in every grid cell and all layers. Entering a number greater than 0 will decrease the number of velocity vectors displayed.
  • Regular Points: When this option is selected, a form showing Delta X and Delta Y text boxes will appear to allow entering a number be displayed as shown in Figure 3 . This The number entered is the interval distance in meters between vectors. EE sets 0 as the default value for these boxes.
